Group Cello Program 2018-19

Group Cello Is for Everyone:

The OSA's group cello classes are for all of our cello students, from beginner to advanced. Returning students should register in one of the six classes, as indicated on their Cello Group Class Placement Sheet. New students should register in the level recommeded by their private teacher.

Group Cello Is Changing to Every Week:

Each group cello class now runs every week from September to May. All classes are held at QEPCCC.

Group Cello Includes Kodaly:

Like the Violin Group Classes, the 2018-2019 Group Cello classes will now include Kodaly and/or Theory classes.  

Kodaly and/or RCM Theory Bundle Options:

This year we are continuing to offer the opportunity for our cello students to "bundle" a Kodaly OR RCM Theory class with their Cello group class at a special discount. This option is available for select classes on Thursday evenings (as the schedule allows). If you are interested in adding a Kodaly or Theory class, but need more information, please contact our registrar.

The Group Class Year:

The OSA Cello Group Class year includes up to 30 weeks of instruction including a Halloween party for all groups together and the annual Cello Workshop. The last cello classes before the Christmas break and the summer break are "all group" dress rehearsals for, respectively, the OSA's Christmas concert in December and the final Cello Concert in early June.

The yearly calendar and the class schedule (subject to change based on enrollment) will be available for download as soon as possible.
