You must be an OSA member to take part, and you must practice with an accompanist prior to the recital. Students who do not rehearse with an accompanist before the senior recital will not be allowed to perform. Please contact your teacher or info@oakvillesuzuki.org if you need help making arrangements.
Important Note: You must discuss the graduation requirements for your instrument and your Suzuki Book level, and select your performing pieces with your private teacher.
The Suzuki Method repertoire is contained in a series of progressive books. Each book represents an important step in the development of a child’s musical ability. Book graduations are considered as ceremonies, not exams. They are celebrations of achievement, and recognition of the effort our students, families, and teachers put into learning.
You must consult with your private teacher when choosing repertoire and piece to graduate. Please note that only ONE piece (of the two required pieces) can be submitted/performed. You have up to one calendar year to perform both of your required pieces to graduate. Please indicate in your registration whether this is your first or your second required piece.
