The Kodály approach to music education provides developing musicians experience and training in developing music literacy by singing and oral participation. Through a variety of singing games, carefully selected songs, and the use of visual aids and manipulatives, students gradually acquire a more refined sense of pitch and rhythmic vocabulary.
Initially the OSA's Kodaly classes are 30 minutes each per week, and are extended to 45 minutes each per week as the student advances.
NOTE: If you are registering for Group Violin or Cello classes and want to add Kodaly classes as well, please do so from within the Group Violin or Cello Registrations page. Register here for Kodaly only if you are not also taking Group Violin or Cello classes.
