Harmony
The Harmony Class follows the RCM Level 9 Harmony curriculum. Students will gain superior knowledge of music through the fundamentals of harmonic language, writing in 4-part harmony, structural analysis and more.
Students must have completed level 8 Rudiments. This is a co-requisite for any RCM instrumental level 9 certificate.
Students are given homework every week and are required to send it to the teacher prior to the weekly group lesson. It is essential all homework is completed and submitted as there is much to cover to be ready for the exam.
You do not need to be in Level 9 RCM or the equivalent in your instrument to take this course.
This course is available to both OSA and non-OSA students. OSA students will receive a discount in their shopping cart.
Music History is taught by OSA teacher, Michelle Coon, an RCM certified teacher in all levels of Theory, History and Harmony.
Tuesdays at 7:30 - 8:30 pm at QEPCCC. Check the calendar for specific dates.
Note: Course materials (RCM text, workbook and other materials) are not included in the registration fee. They will be available to purchase at the first class.
