Andrew Park

Cello

It all started when Andrew Park wanted to play the musical saw, but thanks to his mother he now plays the cello. Music has always surrounded Andrew whether he was falling asleep to his mother’s Chopin, envying his brother’s Jimi Hendrix like impromptus, or watching his father play the great classics with the Toronto Symphony. All his life Andrew has been fascinated by performance and intrigued by the processes of creating art.
And then thanks to countless mentors and communities he found himself performing in festivals around the world traveling to Norway, Mexico, The U.S. and across Canada working and performing with the likes of the Danish String Quartet and Gryphon Trio. He has performed with Lauryn Hill, Russ & Charlotte Cardin in stadiums across North America, but has also performed with the Toronto Symphony, Calgary Philharmonic, Thunder Bay Symphony and remains an active orchestral musician.
He co-founded “Strings From Paris” in 2022 and has since gone viral online with string arrangements of hip/hop and contemporary R&B music. Together with sFp he has performed at Zoomer Hall for 96.3FM Radio Live, at the Stratford Music Festival with Mark Fewer and Yolanda Bruno (TSO assistant Concertmaster), and partnered with Candlelight Concerts to present their own headliners as well as the Netflix Series’ Bridgerton showcase.
Andrew Park is signed for a non-exclusive deal with Bedtracks inc. writing and recording music for film & television, which features his use of all acoustic instruments such as guitar, cello, piano and hand drums. He currently teaches privately at his home in Toronto as well as with the Oakville Suzuki Association. He teaches at the Sistema Music Program at Parkdale elementary running the Cello Classes and the Junior, Intermediate and Senior orchestras as well.
He is an active member of TMA 149. He plays on a belgian vuillaume copy circa 1850.
